Top Ten Tuesday (6)

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish
TOP TEN BOOKS I THINK WOULD MAKE GREAT TEEN* BOOK CLUB PICKS
*This week's subject is Top Ten Books I Think Would Make Great Book Club Picks, but I'm changing it a bit so it's for a teen fiction book club.
10
Lola and the Boy Next Door
Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins
Lola is a quick and fun upbeat novel that would be perfect for a group trying to stay away from "serious".
9
The Iron King (Iron Fey, #1)
The Iron King by Julie Kagawa
Faeries? Kidnappings? Star-crossed lovers? What's not to love?
8

Matched (Matched, #1)
Matched by Ally Condie
This romantic dystopian is a page-turner that has great characters that are easy to connect with.
7
The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer (Mara Dyer, #1)
The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin
Mara Dyer redefines YA lit. It has it all: a fast-moving plot, an badass man character, and so much suspense.
6
Divergent (Divergent, #1)
Divergent by Veronica Roth
Divergent is my favorite coming of age story. Most people wouldn't call it that but it is. Plus, it's so hard not to get wrapped up in Roth's world.
5
Zombies Vs. Unicorns
Zombies vs. Unicorns (edited) by Holly Black and Justine Larbalestier
This book would have THE BEST discussion! It would be such a heated debate :P
4
Uglies (Uglies, #1)
Uglies by Scott Westerfeld
Believe it or not, this dystopian came BEFORE The Hunger Games, yes, believe it or not, there were dystopians before The Hunger Games and this one's a classic (dystopian).
3
Clockwork Angel (The Infernal Devices #1)
Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare
This book will transport you back to Victorian England, but instead of balls and tea, you get to fight monsters.
2
The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games, #1)
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
This action filled dystopian is one of my favorite. Plus it lots of action for guys and lots of romance for girls, so it's a perfect book group balance!
1
City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments, #1)
City of Bones by Cassandra Clare
Almost everyone loves this series. What's not to love? Monster slayin', bad boys (though I'm Team Simon), awesome weapons, and a bunch of other fun stuff!

  6. These would be great for a Teen book club. It'd be great for reluctant readers too because these books are all so engrossing.

Thank you for the comment, I love and appreciate each and every one! As of March 2012, The Non Reluctant Reader is an awards-free zone. I'm honored to be considered, but do not currently have the time to pass the award on. Comments are the best award I can receive though! If the comment requires a reply, please be sure to check back for one. If it is a feature/meme leave a link to your post and I will stop by and comment if I get the chance!
